Comfort Keepers staff work hard, we have really dedicated teams of home carers who show a wonderful enthusiasm and zeal for their work. Supported by their client care managers and supervisors and often chatting on the telephone or conversing by email, nothing beats meeting up and seeing each other face to face. Of course, carers drop into their nearest office all the time too – for advice, to chat, to pick up a message, to attend their reviews and many other reasons.
Some might think that home carers only see their clients, but it is very different at Comfort Keepers. It’s nice to meet socially too and last Friday saw our carer event in the Rochestown Lodge Hotel for the afternoon. Staff from two offices, Dun Laoighaire and Blackrock attended and it was wonderful to have staff from so many departments present: the home carers, Operations staff, Human Resources staff, the client care manager and the client care co-ordinator. It’s an opportunity for new carers to meet others and to get to know the office staff better too. Plus, doesn’t everyone have a nicer chat over tea and cake in any case? We had an Easter raffle for all the carers and five lucky winners went home with lots of chocolate.
