On Wednesday morning we awoke to the fantastic news that Comfort Keepers Ireland has been ranked third in Indeed.ie’s Top 25 Best Places to Work in Ireland 2018 list.
As a new entry to the predominantly technology firm dominated list, we are absolutely thrilled and honoured to have been ranked alongside highly prestigious companies such as Dell, Microsoft, Google and Apple.
The ranking, which is published each year, is based on employee rating and reviews of their experiences working for a company. These are reviews submitted through Indeed’s website, and findings are based on Irish-only reviews that the companies receive.
Managing Director of Comfort Keepers Ireland, Brid Gould, made the following statement after receiving the good news:
“We would like to thank everyone involved. These reviews come from the Comfort Keepers who we work with and who support, take care of and are kind to each other every day. Together, as a team, we have made Comfort Keepers a great place to work. I am delighted to see this team achieve such wonderful recognition, and with the new Carer App and eLearning training Platform, and other initiatives, we will continue to make Comfort Keepers a great place to work.”
While commenting on the list, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Indeed, Paul Wolfe, said that there is “intense competition among companies” as Ireland grows closer to full employment. However companies are responding with improved commitment to employee wellbeing and career advancement, and that they are recognising that there’s “more to employee satisfaction than remuneration.”. Continuing on, Wolfe explained that Silicon Valley companies are no longer completely dominating the playing field of great places to work in Ireland:
“While attractive perks and flexible working conditions are often associated with the arrival of US tech names in the Irish market, this year’s rankings show that investment in people is being prioritised right across a range of sectors, from retail to technology and from healthcare to hospitality.”
