The Supports We Offer Our Home Carers

If you decide to apply for the position of a home carer at Comfort Keepers, you will find that we offer all our carers significant support in all kinds of ways.

Our carers can report any concerns or worries to their client care manager, these may be thoughts about a client’s needs changing or concerns about a client’s health. Each client is visited once a quarter by a client care manager to re-assess their care but these can be re-visited at any stage.

All of Comfort Keepers staff (including home carers) can avail of bereavement counselling and support. We appreciate that, as a carer, you become very fond of your clients and they can seem like one of your family. Your manager will advise you of the funeral arrangements and you are welcome to avail of our bereavement supports.

We appreciate that it may be difficult to get to know other Comfort Keepers carers so we arrange many social events so you get to know other carers as well as the office staff. These include coffee morning, barbecues, office lunches and days out. Our carer awards celebrate your achievements too. We also organise team building events.

If you are away from work due to ill health, we support your rehabilitation to the workplace. We aim to provide a workplace culture and environment to promote good health and wellbeing. We have a number of health and wellbeing services which include employee assistance programmes, work life balance and health promotion activities.

We run an affiliate scheme whereby you can receive significant discounts on expenses such as car and house insurance or can enjoy reduced price hotel stays when on a break away.

We measure the satisfaction of all our employees. Our Employee Satisfaction surveys have been introduced into our bi-annual reviews for managers.
