There’s no denying that caring for someone can be emotionally and physically hard. It takes a lot of hard work to both develop a relationship with the person for whom you’re caring and ensure you’re looking after them to the best of your ability. At Comfort Keepers, we understand and recognise the hard work and dedication required to be a carer. That’s why our Home Support Workers enjoy many perks and benefits.
Your time is invaluable to the service and care we provide, and we recognise that in our payments. We ensure our Home Support Workers are adequately paid for their time, which is why we offer very competitive rates. On top of this, we offer paid mileage to ensure that you are compensated for the travel time and expenses between client visits at a per kilometre rate.
To work as a Home Support Worker with us, you need to have the right qualifications, and we provide you with the resources to obtain them. We provide all of this training free of charge.
Along with the pay and training opportunities mentioned above, we provide our Home Support Workers with guaranteed weekly hours. This way, you’re guaranteed a certain amount of work, and a certain amount of money. We tailor these hours to your needs and availability, once again proving our dedication to our people. We also don’t expect you to have to pay for your Personal Protection Equipment (such as aprons, gloves etc.), so we’ll provide you with that for free. Garda Vetting will also be provided by us, for you, so you don’t have to worry about that, either. Uniforms are covered as well.
We know that you work hard to provide people with the care they need, and that’s why we want to give you the support and recognition you deserve. That’s why we provide 24-hour support and an Employee Assistance Programme, provided by Laya Healthcare. With this, we’re always here for you too when you need us. Once a year, we also hold our Comfort Keepers Awards, where we give praise and recognition to our Home Support Workers for the hard work and dedication they’ve provided throughout the year. Likewise, we want to ensure you have the opportunity to progress, and in the last 12 months alone we’ve given promotions to 34 members of staff. Our team is expanding, and we want to continue the expansion and progression of our carers, and hope to promote even more people next year.
Whether you’re starting or continuing your career as a carer, we want to ensure you have the best possible experience with Comfort Keepers. If you’d like to find out more and apply for a position within our team, please contact us via our website or visit our jobs site.
More than just a job. Make caring your career with Comfort Keepers.
