Training and Qualifications – Careers Progression for Comfort Keepers Employees

Employee Training Cultivates Our Team’s Home Care Talent

Comfort Keepers have been providing courses for our employees since 2008. Learning and development for all our employees has always been a core focus for us.

We strive to provide our employees with a supportive and encouraging environment. That’s why we provide all our staff with the highest standard of training and education. We want our employees to be equipped with the knowledge and expertise to ensure they provide clients with the best care. See below a video on some of the benefits. We expand on further on the specific training and qualification below.

Training, Learning & Development

We want to ensure our employees know exactly what working for Comfort Keepers Ireland is like, which is why we provide Intensive Company Induction Training to all new employees. This induction will run through every aspect of a caring role within Comfort Keepers.

This includes the expectations we have of employees, clients’ expectations and what expectations our employees have of us as an employer. Our employees are invaluable, so we want them to be happy and well-equipped to provide Ireland’s best client-focused care.

Communication & Care

Our induction course provides employees with the policies and procedures that are integral to Comfort Keepers Ireland, but also provides practical information and training. By providing our employees with the practical skills they need to properly perform their duty of care, we ensure our employees and clients received the best in quality care.

Comfort Keepers’ Induction provides communication skills and practical techniques so that all our employees know how to communicate effectively with clients and their families.

QQI Courses

Comfort Keepers are a QQI accredited training facility meaning we can provide you with your QQI Level 5 major award in healthcare. We can provide you with the in-house practical, psychological, emotional, social and theoretical skills required of those working in a caring role. At Comfort Keepers Ireland, we understand that everyone is different and learns in a different way. That’s why we deliver our educational and training courses in a way that suits the individual learner.

Ongoing Workshops and E-Learning

We care about our employees, which is why we listen to the feedback and comments of our staff. As a result, we’ve developed a wide range of workshops to help our employees with some of the common issues they’ve been faced with.

In February 2018 we also launched our Learning Hub – an online learning platform available to all Comfort Keepers employees free of charge. This acts as a way for people to refresh their knowledge and skills. We have been adding to the range of courses available in the Learning Hub, and will continue to do so.

Our Learning Hub is downloadable as an app for smartphones and tablets as well, so our employees can learn in a way that suits them. Because we know that life can be busy, once you’ve enrolled for a course, you can come back to it whenever it suits. And once you’ve finished a course, you can download your certificate for your own personal portfolio.

At Comfort Keepers Ireland we want the best for our employees and clients, which is why we work so hard to provide them with the tools they need to excel and progress their careers. Whether you want to work as a Client Care Supervisor or Client Care Coordinator, we offer equal opportunities for you and want to support you on your journey.
