The aim of Palliative Care is to improve your quality of life. Being comfortable and free from pain is a top priority and at Comfort Keepers we offer bespoke Palliative Care packages to suit your needs.

What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care takes a holistic approach to each individual with the aim of relieving the symptoms of disease. Patients can avail of Palliative Care at any age, and at any stage, in a serious illness whether the disease is manageable or life-threatening.

Through relieving the symptoms for the individual, the overarching aim of our palliative homecare team is to provide a personal, tailor-made, homecare approach so that each patient can have the best quality of life while they are dealing with their illness.

At Comfort Keepers, we understand the decision about Palliative care involves very personal choices and we are here to support you whenever you need care.

When might you seek Palliative Care?

Palliative care can be introduced for a person at any age or stage of an illness. There is a misconception that palliative care should only be used at the later stage of an illness however there are benefits to starting care at earlier stages to provide the individual and their family members with ongoing support.

We’re all different and what’s right for one person may be totally inappropriate for another. Taking time to talk things through with healthcare professionals, family and friends is a good place to start.
