HR Awards

Do you remember our post about being shortlisted for numerous awards in the HR Awards? The awards were held last Wednesday and fourteen of the Comfort Keepers staff attended. These included the HR Business Support Manager (Johanne O’Halleron), HR Director (David McGoldrick) and Managing Director (Brid Gould).

With over 1200 carers working within Comfort Keepers, the HR team are kept very busy between recruiting, interviewing, answering queries and a million other tasks. We were delighted that the HR team’s dedication and hard work was recognised by being shortlisted in the HR Leadership and Management 2015 Awards. We were been shortlisted in numerous categories, these include Best HR Team, Rising Star Award, Best Health and Wellbeing Strategy and Most Effective Use of Internal Communications.

Being shortlisted for awards is hugely exciting – there’s the team excitement at being shortlisted in so many categories, there’s the hope of winning, there’s the recognition of quality that it brings, there’s the camaraderie with other shortlisted nominees, there’s the nerves wondering what will be read out ………

I’m afraid we were bridesmaids on the day rather than being the winning bride 😉  We’d like to congratulate all the businesses that won awards. We had a wonderful day, we learnt a lot from the day as a whole and from the winners. Everyone representing Comfort Keepers there agreed that we are inspired to enter even more categories next year. We will use our experience from the awards day and will continually keep doing what we are doing, even better if we can and hopefully win an award next year. We are particularly proud of our three Comfort Keepers staff in the Rising Star award, David Flynn, Monica Rus and Michelle Powell.

It is a fantastic achievement for Comfort Keepers to have done so well in these national HR and Leadership awards, this is testament to the strong professional skills and ethics of all who not only work in HR in comfortkeepers but to all our wonderful admin and fantastic care staff. David McGoldrick, Director of HR.

We’d like to congratulate our HR teams across our 17 offices. Do remember that if you would like to work for Comfort Keepers, either within our HR departments or as a professional home carer, if you would like to train and work as a home carer and you feel you have the attributes of being caring, kind,  intuitive, sensitive, punctual, reliable and perhaps with previous experience of caring, do have a look at our Vacancies page.
