One week to go until the Comfort Keepers Awards 2017

Heading: Our Carer of the Year Nominees 2016 at the 2016 CKAwards Ceremony held at Croke Park Stadium.

This day next week the Comfort Keepers Awards 2017 will take place in Killashee House, Naas, Co. Kildare. Our awards aim to celebrate the achievements of our fantastic carers, and gives us the opportunity to both reward and acknowledge their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

Being a carer is a career that’s not for everyone and we believe that it requires individuals with truly special talents and abilities. If a person has the right attitudes and aptitudes, it can be a very rewarding career, hugely appreciated by clients and their families. Having our annual CK awards ceremony gives us the opportunity to publicly reward our staff. All carers are eligible and are nominated by either their local office manager or by clients during their bi-annual client satisfaction survey. The criteria for entry is based on the quality of care that’s given. The top carers for this stage will then go out to vote by their peers, and finally, our directors in both the US and Ireland will review all the information and choose a winner for the Carer of the Year award. All information asked for within this process leaves this very much open to every carer to have a chance to win. However, only one will be taking home the award for Carer of the Year 2017.

This year’s Carer of the Year will be announced on November 3rd at our prestigious awards ceremony in Kildare, and we are delighted to let you know that the winner will be receiving a one week holiday for two people to the USA along with spending money for their trip. The winner will get to attend the very respected USA Comfort Keepers Carer of the Year Awards Luncheon, meeting other amazing carers from across the pond

Our Comfort Keepers Carer of the Year 2016 winner Leona Goodman is currently in Orlando this week to end her reign at this year’s Comfort Keepers USA Carer of the Year Awards tomorrow night. Listen to why Leona loves her job and what being a carer means to her:

We’d like to wish all our finalists the best of luck in this year’s CK awards, and make sure to follow the hashtag #CKAwards2017 on social media to see all the latest news and pics from the event. See you next week!
