There are small steps that all of us at Comfort Keepers can do to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 and to ensure the safety of ourselves, our peers and our clients. Make the below steps an integral part of your daily routine to ensure a safe work environment for us all.
Prevent the spread of Covid-19 through small, easy steps
Practice everyday preventative actions. Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, wash your hands often with soap and water (check our guide on thorough hand washing here).
Keep your work environment clean
Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily (e.g., tables, countertops, light switches, doorknobs, and cabinet handles) using regular household detergent and water. If surfaces are dirty, clean them using a detergent and water prior to disinfection.
Avoid sharing personal items
You should not share dishes, drinking glasses, cups, eating utensils or towels, with other people at work to minimise risk. After using these items, wash them thoroughly with soap and water.
Be extra diligent with PPE
When visiting clients, maintain a high level of diligence with health and safety measures. Make sure to wear your gloves and aprons at all appropriate times and to dispose of them safely.
Stay informed on Covid-19
Stay up to date with the local COVID-19 situation in your area. In order to ensure you know everything to know, keep an eye out on the HSE’s developments and information (https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/coronavirus/coronavirus.html). Avoid rumours or information that does not come from an official source such as the HSE or the World Health Organization.
Stay home if you’re experiencing symptoms and notify a medical professional
Stay home from work if you are sick with COVID-19 symptoms, which may include fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. Notify a medical professional of your symptoms and inform Comfort Keepers of your situation.
Contact Comfort Keepers if your schedule is impacted by COVID-19
Notify Comfort Keepers if your schedule has changed due to COVID-19 eg. if someone in your home is sick or your child’s school has been dismissed temporarily.
